Creative and Easy
For years we made gingerbread houses with our kids, baking and baking and making messes all for the fun and creativity of this holiday tradition. When I found this app (theres a book also) I found I had been working way too hard. No baking and no mess. The app includes great images of finished houses, houses that are far more creative than Ive ever made, and step bhy step information and ingredients. Everything needed is usually in the pantry. I love it. Im off to make the Faery Tree House . . .
Way better than trying to design one myself!
I really like the fact that they have so many different houses for different places in the world. Usually you just default and make the standard "house" shape and then plaster a bunch of candy on it. This is much more creative - especially if one of the unique houses speaks to you or your family.

My family has tried the Firehouse and Traditional Gingerbread House so far. The kids had a blast. The houses are so EASY to create, which makes this an A+ activity for those who have busy schedules. The Igloo and Mermaid Palace are on the menu this weekend!
Easier to work with than traditional gingerbread...
While its a stretch to call these "gingerbread" houses, I still applaud the approach to taking a hard-core tradition and making it more accessible. Love the creative houses that can work as fun party centerpieces all year round.
Great!
